If you’re looking to get in the Halloween spirit without the stress of planning (or even finding a costume), Carlsbad has plenty of festive ways to celebrate this week. From light shows and art classes to spooky treats and community fun, here are five ways to enjoy Halloween around town.

The Camp Store

Experience the “Sound of Light” at The Camp Store

Head to The Camp Store at South Carlsbad State Beach for a Halloween edition of the Sound of Light show. This alien-themed audiovisual experience lights up the coastline, blending music, lasers, and beachside magic. Every night through November 2.

Local Tip: Grab dinner or drinks early and enjoy sunset before the show begins — it’s one of the best views in town.

The Creative Learning Studio

Get Creative at The Creative Learning Studio

Little artists will love the lineup of Halloween inspired classes at The Creative Learning Studio from Spin Art and Splat Monsters to Squeegee Art and Mixed Media Wooden Pumpkins. Each project is hands-on, colorful, and in the Halloween spirit.

This year, the Bressi Ranch Village Center is joining the fun taking over the Park & Patio area across from Peet's Coffee rom 4-7 PM with for pumpkin rolling, live DJ and trick-or-treating on October 31.

Local Tip: Enjoy dinner or dessert from one of the nearby eateries in the Bressi Ranch Village Center. It’s prime people-watching territory.
